The results of the 2025 HSC and equivalent examinations have been published. The average pass rate is 58.83%. The results were published simultaneously from 11 education boards of the country today, Thursday, at around 10 am. Last year, this rate was 77.78%.
A total of 1,251,111 students filled out the forms for this year’s exam. Of these, 1,055,398 were candidates from the nine general boards. The number of Alim examinees under the Madrasa Board is 86,102 and the number of examinees under the Technical Board is 1 lakh 9,611. About 27,000 students were absent from this examination held at 2,797 centers across the country.
The results showed that 69,097 students scored GPA-5 in this year’s HSC exam, which is 9.5% of the passers. Last year, 1,45,911 students scored GPA-5. As a result, the number of students scoring GPA-5 has decreased by 76,814 this year.
A comparative picture of this year’s results shows that among the 9 general education boards, Dhaka Education Board is ahead in pass rate, while Comilla Education Board is behind.
The total pass rate for this year in Dhaka Education Board is 64.62. The lowest pass rate is in the Comilla Education Board, with a pass rate of 48.86.
In addition, 59.40% of examinees in Rajshahi, 50.20% in Jessore, 52.57% in Chittagong, 62.57% in Barisal, 51.86% in Sylhet, 57.49% in Dinajpur, and 51.54% in Mymensingh have passed.
The HSC and equivalent written exams, which began on June 26, ended on August 19. Later, the practical exams were conducted between August 21 and 31.
