The application process for Dhaka University admission test for the 2025-26 academic year began last Wednesday (October 29). The application process will continue until November 16.
The notice published on the university’s website states that from 2020 to 2023, Madhyamik or equivalent and among the students who passed the Higher Secondary or equivalent examination in 2025 and meet the prescribed conditions for admission to various units of Dhaka University, Only they will be able to apply for admission to undergraduate programs in the 2025-26 academic year.
What is the eligibility to apply for which unit?
Science Unit:
To apply to the Science Unit, the minimum overall GPA obtained in the Secondary and Higher Secondary (including the fourth subject) examinations must be 8.0, and not less than 3.5 in the two examinations separately of SSC and HSC.
Arts, Law and Social Sciences Unit:
Minimum cumulative GPA of 7.5 in Arts, Law and Social Sciences units, and not less than 3.0 in each examination of SSC and HSC.
Business Education Unit:
For the business education unit, the overall GPA must be 7.5 and a minimum of 3.0 separately in each examination of SSC and HSC.
Fine Arts Unit:
Minimum overall GPA for the Fine Arts unit is 6.5, and no less than 3.0 in each exam in SSC and HSC.
IBA Unit:
A minimum GPA of 3.5 must be obtained in the secondary or equivalent and higher secondary or equivalent examinations separately, and the sum of the GPA obtained in these two examinations must be at least 8.0.
Exam date and schedule
The exams for the Arts, Law and Social Sciences units will begin at 11 am on December 13 and will continue until 12.30 pm.
The exams for the Science unit will begin at 11 am on December 20 and will continue until 12.30 pm. The exam for the Business Education Unit will begin at 11 am on December 6 and will continue until 12.30 pm.
The exam for the Fine Arts Unit (General Knowledge and Drawing) will begin on November 29 and the exam for the IBA Unit will begin at 10 am on November 28 and will continue until 12 pm.
